| Implementation : Training

For a new system to be effective, staff must be trained so that they know how to use it. Without training staff are likely to make mistakes on the new system and will not know how to exploit the new features it provides. Training can
be provided to staff in many ways :
- Formal Training : Staff could attend meetings at which the new software is demonstrated and they are given exercises to complete using it.
- User Guide : Staff can read the user guide supplied with the new system to find out how to use it.
- Help : An on-screen help function could be incorporated into the system so that users can look up how to do something or find out why when they try to do something it doesn't work.
- Informal Training : Staff may learn how to do things informally by asking colleagues how to do them.
