Desktop Publishing : Fonts And Styles

A desktop publisher should provide a wider range of fonts and styles than a word processor would. For example many DTP packages incorporate a "fancy" text function. This function may let you :

• Make text follow unusual paths such as a wavy line or an uphill slope.
• Add shadows to text.
• Use a range of colours and blends of colours to display text.
• Resize text by simply stretching the frame it appears in with the mouse rather than typing a font size.
